Hero Batteries – Automotive Starting Battery Warranty

Hero Batteries will replace a Hero Batteries if it is faulty or defective in manufacture or materials during the specified warranty period. This warranty is provided in addition to any other rights or remedies held by a consumer at law.

 

• The applicable warranty period, commencing on the date of purchase is, if a Private Passenger Vehicle, for period stated on the battery part number label from date of purchase or if for Commercial Vehicle, Truck and Tractor use, for half the period stated on the battery part number label from date of purchase:

 

• The warranty period is not renewed or extended as a result of a warranty repair or replacement.

• The sales receipt for the battery must be provided as proof of purchase when a claim is made under this warranty

• The warranty is not transferable and is only offered to the original end-user of the Lion battery.

• No employee or agent of Hero Batteries is permitted to amend any warranty terms.

• The warranty only applies to Hero Batteries purchased from an authorised reseller in Australia, To the extent that any condition or warranty implied by law is excludable, such condition or warranty is excluded.

• Replacement of Hero Batteries must follow the applicable vehicle manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals.

 

The warranty offered by Hero Batteries is void if the defect or fault is caused by:

•  a failure to follow installation, operating or maintenance instructions.

•  inappropriate or improper use, or use of the Lion battery for purposes other than that for which it was designed, or use in taxi vehicles

• Neglect, lack of care in storage, handling, general use or accident repairs, alterations, modifications to the Hero Batteries which have been performed by a third party without Hero Batteries consent.

• tampering or alterations of markings to the Lion battery

• foreign contamination.

• overcharging

 

• Cost of consumables or accessories or labour costs

• Wear and tear

• Normal or scheduled maintenance.

• To the extent permitted by law, any damage to property, personal injury, direct or indirect loss, consequential losses or other expenses.

•  Changes in the condition or operational qualities of the Hero Batteries resulting from incorrect storage or mounting, or due to climatic, environmental or other influences.

 

If a Hero Batteries fails within the warranty period as a result of a manufacturing or material fault or defect consumers should:

 

• Return the battery at their own cost to the original point of purchase or a Hero Batteries Authorised Battery Retailer, Distributor, Branch or Agent, along with proof of purchase and a full description of the problem, for warranty evaluation and/or repair.
